project: thigh
keyboard
year: 1995
concept:
A wearable computer keyboard that connects via blue tooth technology. The conventional
101 key keyboard has been separated into two halves that strap onto the
thighs of the user. The elastic straps are wide to make them comfortable
and also perforated for ventilation.
The
key layout of the keyboards are the standard size for a 101 key
keyboard with a track pad on both keyboards so that either hand
can control the cursor.
For
ergonomic comfort, the keyboards are easy to use in either a
standing or sitting position. In a shop environment, the keyboards
are always handy while staying off of valuable work space.
